Just got back from a vacation in Galveston and Bubbies was one of the highlights of the trip. I could roam around that treasure trove for hours - except to the rude and dishonest people running the place.
The woman harped at us (in a rude tone) the entire time we were in there wanting to know what we wanted. the real problem came when we checked out our $80 worth of merchandise. I watched the man finalizing our order ring up a shoulder strap, then casually brush it back behind the counter and onto the floor as he was packing our bag. I acted as if wanted the shoulder strap and dug through every bag looking for it - not to be found. He finally grumbled and gave me another one to replace the one he hid back. We didn't get an itemized receipt, our bad, and after some mental math we think we were overcharged $8 or $10. We bought some great stuff, would have gladly paid a little more for it, but the experience was just lousy and we'll try hard not to go back...
