John Slidell Park is a nice park in the heart of Slidell. There is a nice playground area for the children which includes swings, slides, and a couple of forts. In the middle of the playground are benches for the parents. The park also has a jogging/walking trail. There are ball fields and a gymnasium. The park also has a nice picnic area. One of the great things about this park is that it is shaded by tall trees. Because there is so much to do at the park, it can get a little crowded at times. However, they do offer adequate parking.
