Recently went back to one of the few solid restaurants in this city. To my surprise, Ar Roi has undergone a design makeover and raised the stakes in Thai restaurants. The place is now simply stunning, changing from the subtle blues to attractive reds and oranges. But this only complements Ar Roi's already awesome food. This is why my friends and I keep coming back here. The restaurant looks different in the inside but the food is consistent as ever. Staple Thai dishes like their Pad Thai and curries and on the mark, but we love their specials, dishes which you can't really get anywhere but back in Thailand. If you haven't tried this place, you are missing out. With the new look, this is the place to impress now.

This place is fantastic but it's so tiny that it gets crowded early. Go early if you can, on a weeknight, when it's not as packed. This is some of the tastiest and most inventive thai food you will find in this part of town, and probably anywhere in the City. Highly recommended are Yok Yor (a special that is usually available), Ped Tod, Crying Lady, and the Basil-Basil Prawns. But really, just about everything is good so take your time with the long menu and find something that sounds appealing. Staff is welcoming and helpful. If you're not luck enough to live in the 'hood, take a cab or Muni cause parking is beyond difficult.

Me and my freinds went there for a going away party. My freind is from Amsterdam and it was actually her last day staying in the U.S. So, we decide to treat her to some Thai food. But we didn't expected the place to be so great. Great as in ; Service , food , and the place it self. My freind from Ams. was in love with the waiter. He was so cute and very freindly with us. We just had to take pictures with him. But over all, everything was great. Can't wait to go back.

We had a large group eating a late dinner. We were promptly seated and very professionally taken care of. I am thorougly impressed with the management at Suriya. The manager personally came to greet us and make sure everything was well. As you know Thai food is spicy, and we were glad to have our glasses filled with water constantly. Thank you so very much for the perfect way you ended our evening.

I agree the decor and location cannot be beat. I live only a few blocks away and couldn't wait to try our my "neighbourhood Thai." Disappointing! I try the Pad Thai which should be one of the best dishes in any casual Thai restaurant since it's so standard, but OSHA's pad thai was gluey and oversweet-- a negative comment read on several other reviews. The meat on the lamb satay was good, but it was on the specials menu. And, the sauces that came with the spring rolls and the satay were also over the top-- too much, too strong as if drowning us in the key flavours of Thai cuisine would hide OSHA's shoddy technique. Desserts look temping, but that's all I'm getting next time...

My husband and I have been going to Marnee Thai regularly since 1990 and have enjoyed every meal we've had there. There is no better Thai food anywhere! The Spicy Angel Wings are amazing, and everything else we've tried has been fabulous. Some reviewers have complained about the size and "bumping elbows" with people at the next table. Well, that's just part of the charm. We've met many interesting people this way! Others have complained about May, the hostess/owner. May happens to be the heart and soul of Marnee Thai. We just love her, and her personality makes her unique and is what we love most about her. It's comforting to know that each time we go, May will be there to greet us with a hug. And she often sits down with us for a few minutes, just to chat and share her wisdom with us.

Very courteous service. Artistic presentation of every dish. Try soup (Tom Yum Koog), Crying Tiger Salad, Red Curry Duck. Mango sorbet in a rice bowl makes a wonderful desert.

Don't believe average rating below, the customer was obviously disappointed with chef Pai not visiting her table. Chef Pai usually greets people she knows, i.e. return customers who come back again and again.

i went to 1751 Social Club last Friday and had a blast. Ther drinks were so good, and the servie was great. Not only was there dancing and a great DJ in the front room, but there was live Hip Hop in the back. the atmopshere is very relaxed and you can hang out with a large group of friends in your own corner booth or on the comfy couches. I definitely recommend going there on Friday nights!
