El Borracho has been in it's same location on Virgina street for many, many years, and whenever I eat there I am always happy to see the same smiling faces in the kichen, and doing the serving.
The food is typical of what you'd expect from a mexican restaurant. When you arrive you are given a basket of fresh tortilla chips and a selection of three dips for the chips. The first dip is a mild, chunky salsa, the second is a hotter and more smooth salsa and the third is a sweetened, green avocado/sour cream dip. Beans and rice are served with every dish.
The dining room is fairly small and usually fairly empty, which means very fast service and lots of privacy.
They always bring a basket of sopapilla with the bill, too, which I love!
