The Mission San Jose is a nice place to catch up on some local history. There are tours available of the mission grounds and the chapel is modestly beautiful with intricate paintings and works on the walls. The on-site staff is knowledge and friendly. There is also a small gift shop for visitors.

Fremont Main Library is one of the biggest libraries in Alameda County. It's two stories and it is very well organized. A few librarians are a bit unhelpful and unkind, but in general most of them are nice and sociable. They will be ready to help you if you need help, most of them are knowledgeable.

More
This library is one of the smallest district libraries that I have ever seen. It is also only open one measly day a week, every Wednesday. Sadly, the short hours are due to gradual cuts in funding that have nearly rendered the library closed. It is a shame because you can tell how much the children enjoy using the library on that one day of the week. The childrens section takes up about half of this library and the kids are usually running around and excited.

I was very impressed with Bikram Yoga. The room is heated to 100 to 101 degrees and that's what makes it worth your money. The instructors are awesome and will guide you through it if you are a first timer. 90 minutes of total intense yoga and came out of that room drenched in sweat, and it feels good!!! My first experience at Bikram had a big impact on me. I drove home and completely layed out on my couch and didn't move for an hour. Every muscle in my body was sore. As i continued to go to Bikram once a week, my stamina and health dramatically increased within weeks. I was very proud of myself for taking that step to a better health, and i don't regret it at all. Unfortunately, I had to stop going to Bikram for awhile because it was costing me a lot. I plan to go back in the future.......Bikram here i come. =)
Pros: good instructors, cleanliness, atmosphere, cool people
Cons: kind of pricey, no shower?

I recently got a call from The Argus for a free 6 week subscription to the Argus. I signed up for it and really liked it! Now I subscribe to it and read it everyday on my way to work. It is a great newspaper comparable to San Jose Mercury News & SF Chronicle. They also have an online edition if that suits you better.
I especially like the crossword in the paper...

More
I've gone here a few times with my friends, and being in my twenties, I found the congregation a bit old for me. Most of the people there are middle aged, so it's harder to meet people your own age. I did appreciate the coffee and donuts they provided after the service, which gave people a chance to chat and get to know each other more. The church itself is very clean and spacious, and the powerpoint slides projecting the song lyrics make the place look visually appealing.
