Bombay Spices carries an array of packaged spices but also a variety of other items from cooking pots to a selection of soaps and other toiletries. Carrom boards (the old after school standby actually centuries old) are a popular item. Store owners are friendly and there to help but otherwise, let you wander around and soak it all in. I love the juxtaposition of beautiful religious statues among the cooking pots. There are more statues towards the back of the store (Hindu, Buddhist, some even look Egyptian) and incense burners and incense. Since the store is in the middle of the block, parking can be a problem. Tuesday to Thursday can be quiet, Friday to Sunday busy. Most stores in Little India are closed on Monday.
