Dance Rax isn't fancy but most people who shop here are at least semi-serious about dance and have a good idea what they need before they get here. Dance Rax carries all the major brands at discount prices. They carry a good stock of sizes and all the styles and colors of leotards and tights that are required for local dance classes. In previous years, they have had Halloween costumes, too. Parking is available around the shop, but Dance Rax is located on the north side of the street among freeway on and off ramps, so you need to be prepared to turn quick.

What sets Cerritos Hills Florist apart from the others are the orchids and other exotic flowers and the beautiful basket arrangements. A small floral arrangement will cost about $40. You seem to pay a little more here, but you get more. This florist displays fewer novelty items and trinkets. Instead, on display is the beauty of the flowers and the arrangement. The store also carries single flowers and bouquets.

Martells Cleaners recently moved from Pioneer Blvd. to a building on South Street. In doing so, they renovated an old building that was considered an eyesore by some into one that is light and airy and looks well cared for. Martells can get busy but they do a good job at reasonable prices. There is a 24 hour drop-off box and Martells has their own parking lot.

Plants Pots Potpourri is a jungle of houseplants and plants that will do well in shade. When it's open, the store displays some of its wares as hanging plants around the perimeter of the shop. Everything looks very healthy. Store personnel are friendly and can instruct you on how to care for your purchase. The only drawback is that it's hard to tell what each one costs. Parking is not a problem. The store is closed Monday and Tuesday.

Even though it's not in a high traffic area, Josephs Cleaners is busy and rightly so. They do a good job at reasonable prices and want to keep customers coming back. Store employees are friendly and efficient and will remember clothes you left to be dry cleaned even if you don't. Work is done on the premises. Parking should be no problem.

Many of the customers are regulars with standing appointments who have followed stylists and beauticians from shop to shop over the years and ended up here and stayed here. South Street Hair Design is busy but friendly and treats each customer with respect. They do both men's and women's hair and have a good reputation for weddings and other large groups.

Cerritos Lanes is a good place to bowl. The people who work there are friendly and organized. There are a number of groups that form several times a year for kids and beginners to the more experienced players. Cerritos Lanes has a snack bar and a pro shop, and more important, a family atmosphere. This place can get busy, especially on the weekends and Saturday mornings. After a while, you sort of get used to the smell of sweaty socks. Parking should be no problem. What would make it perfect is a good pizza place in the same shopping center.

The sculptures (divided into the religious and non-religious) are mostly of brass, wood, marble or terracotta. The store carries all kinds of furniture (largely of teakwood), wall decor, embroidered bedspreads and cushions and jewelry. Bulk corporate gifts are available. Prices range from a few dollars for the smaller items to several hundred. Radhika is part showroom, part art gallery. Prepare to be in awe.
