Anna's is the best place to get real Italian food in Mechanicsville. But, only for take-out. Though Anna's has very tasty subs and entrees, the restaurant itself is usually very loud, cramped, and rather crowded. The servers are good, but you can barely hear the people you're with, and it can make dinner feel kind of hectic.
Though I prefer not to eat at Anna's, their take-out tastes amazing. They have great pizza, calzones, and the best chicken-parmesan sub ever created. I highly recommend their food, but you may want to bring it home with you.
