Though the interior might be a bit sparse, this old-fashioned cinema offers a bargain with its $6.50 tickets. Showing movies that have been out anywhere from a few weeks to a few months, it hardly seems fair to call it a second-run cinema, since many films come to the theatre while they're still in the more mainstream ones. And not only are the tickets cheaper, but the snacks are cheaper here too. Plus this theatre, along with the Somerville Theatre, is one of the few remaining that still serve real butter on the popcorn instead of artificial stuff. So come for the movies, but enjoy the classic facade and the snacks while you're there!
