A friend of mine had told me of this place, so I went last Thursday to check it out. WOW! I splurged and bought some treats to bring back to work, considering the prices are so affordable, the "splurge" only cost me $13 and that included lunch. Check it out, worth the drive there. Nothing else like in the city, that I have found yet. Service was kinda of slow...but hey, you cant have everything!

You have to love this little hole in the wall place. I am hesitant to even write a review, cause I don't want everyone finding out about this place. The drinks are always flowing and you never have to wait for your glass to be empty, there is a fresh one waiting. The food in bars is usually an "add-on", not here..it is good! My ex and I use to go there all the time for food and drinks and just too hang out. Check out 69 cent taco tues!! ROCKS!!! I miss living in Ballard for many reasons, the main one being, The Tin Hat!

I took my parents to Rock Salt when they visited here last year. The service sucked! It was not like we had been seated way in back, we were in the middle of the place, had to ask over and over again for a refill on coffee. Then the food arrived. Way undercooked and and on top of that it was cold. They returned with a new plate, and on this plate the potatoes were then cold! hahahaha! It was so bad it was almost absurdly funny, till we got the bill. We are in Seattle and so so many seafood places to go to...steer clear of this one. Hopefully it has improved. I am willing to give it another try if it is has. Anyone have a good experience??

I love Epilogue! Not only do they have a great selection of used books, they can order you anything new. The book is generally in your hands within 2 days! I have been going there for years. Last year I started the Ballard Book Club, and Epilogue has been nice enough to allow me to host our meetings there! Xcellent trade in credit. Friendly staff, nice layout and now a satellite of Firehouse Coffee is in the store, a nice addition! Check them out on NW market in Ballard. M.
