Never has this mall been a huge draw like Tucson Mall or Park Place Mall have been and it has been a sort of niche mall. I guess that continues for the most part now. Size wise it is small and all of the store fronts are not occupied. The access from the north has been closed due to an unfriendly neighborhood association and you now must get there from Broadway. Frankly I think this is when the mall took a downturn. With it's location it should always have good traffic passing by and if the new chain type stores that they have added can flourish, then you may see a resurgence of El Con Mall
