This is one of those places in NYC designed entirely for tourists. Sure, Hershey's candy is fun, and being able to get unusual ones (limited editions and large sizes) is cool, but in a city with the likes of Dylan's Candy Bar which also carries Hershey's products, you can skip this particular indulgence.
