Maria's Mexican Bistro is just a block away from the Fifth Avenue restaurant scene in Park Slope, and it's a nice surprise to find. It's a small, charming restaurant that serves both traditional and more creative Mexican food. They have a big tequila meni as well as a full bar. Except for the tiny tables and cramped seating, this is a very enjoyable place. The food is reliably good, the prices moderate, and the service friendly. It seems like a date place - more couples than families when I've gone. Definitely one of the better choices for real Mexican food in Park Slope.
