I can't seem to walk down Broadway without stopping into Bailey Coy for a quick browse. A great indy book store.

They still have coffee in the mornings and serve food all day.
Lottie's is a welcome change to Columbia City, which was lacking a reputable place to have a drink and take in a little live music, which I think happens every Tuesday night. The new decor is nice and I've heard they are becoming known for their mint juleps.

The owner is always accessible and makes himself a part of the experience. The wait can be long sometimes, but you can often call before you leave and get your name on the list (shh! I don't think this is a standard practice!)

We just got Jamjuree take out last night (pas Thai, Pad See Ew, Basil Beef and Panang curry). I've been going for about 5 years and I don't think it gets much better than Jamjuree.
