This is by far one of the most classic venues in the greater Cincinnati area. It just so happens that this tiny little joint has been around for decades and it is just recently that the rest of what is today called Newport on the Levee has joined it. The Southgate House has multiple bars, pool tables, and multiple stages (all are very small). Local veterans like Ashley Peacock (of the new band known as “The Times”) have graced the stage, as well as Over the Rhine and inde rock legend Pedro the Lion.
