When I was on my parents' health plan I had to visit Dr. Ben Glaspey here at Martin Memorial. I suffered a knee injury running cross country at school and went there for help. Instead of perhaps starting at the more common problems, Dr. Glaspey hypothesized that I might suffer from rheumatoid arthritis! He sent me on to a specialist who wanted me to do strange "rehabilitating" exercises. Eventually I got fed up and went somewhere off of my health plan for a second opinion. My tibias are bow-shaped, causing pressure on my knees from running, which was set off from stepping in a hole during a run. It took one visit to figure that out.
This wasn't the only case where the doctor started with the least common ailment and moved back towards the common cold. Don't waste your time and co-pays here.
