If you need a great suit, Tom Karle & Son is the place to go. They have a great selection and alteration on the spot. They have every color and fabric to satisfy even the most well-dressed man. I know they have been around for many many years and without their great service and fabrics, they would not have lasted this long. I highly recommend them for suits, ties and even every day wear. Fast and friendly service.

I love going to Twin's Restaurant. They are famous for their broasted chicken. It is not fried, but broiled/roasted. The restaurant is very cozy and very laid back. They also have great pototo wedges and coleslaw. Be careful on weekends, it's a well known diamond in Erie, and weekends are very busy. They also have catering which is excellent and especially, a parking lot available to pick up where they bring it to you!

I can remember going to Serafini's as a little child over 30 some years ago and it is still going strong. Erie has a very close knit Italian community and they know where to eat. Serafini's is one of those places. They have the best bread (Bill's Bakery) and there house dressing is wonderful. All their Italian dishes are great and tasty and the restaurant is so cozy. You will not regret spending an evening there.

If you like cream sauce covered cuisine, you will love the Pufferbelly. It is on the site of an old firehouse which make the interior very interesting. I personally don't care for cream sauce of my food, but for those who do, the Pufferbelly is the place to go. The desserts are exquisite and worth saving room for!

If you are looking for romance and elegance, go to the Paper Moon. It has great cuisine and the perfect place for a romantic dinner. It is quite pricey, but when it is a special day, prices just don't matter. You will find cuisine here that you won't find anywhere else. Also, they do a lot of charity work in which the restaurant is used which is great for the community.

Hector's is another place that takes you back to the 1950's. It still has a bar with no stools as they did back then. They have checkered tablecloths and just a laid back dining experience. Their pasta fajole is their specialty and worth going out of your way to have. They are conveniently located on the west side of town and can easily be found by their neon lights. I highly recommend it.

Ford's Fried Chicken is a great place for takeout! It has great fried chicken and pot pies, which I believe is their specialty. It's convenient on Peach Street and very reasonably priced. I highly recommend it. It's very similar to other fried chicken chains, except it has that hometown touch. It is locally owned and has a big local following who like to go to locally owned businesses. Great ambience and very family friendly.

Going to Chuck & Ginny's is like going back to the small intimate restaurants in the 1950's. It's small and quaint and has the best Italian food ever! We love going there and the portion sizes are perfect because there is always some to take home! We highly recommend it, but weekends can be very busy, but worth the wait. It's always nice to see the picture of "Ginny" on the wall which shows you how long the restaurant has been there and how successful they are because of their great Italian food.
