**BEWARE**:\r \r i've been a customer at this store for over a decade, but after an incident last month with the owner, alex grinshpun, i find myself with little choice but to bring him to small claims court.\r \r i brought in glasses, which i had purchased at the store, to be fixed, after they broke (my fault). the glasses were then shipped to the manufacturer in california. several weeks later, i came in to pick up the glasses (they were ready much sooner - again, not the store's fault for the delay) , only to find that they were damaged. \r \r ""did you use glue on these,?"" asked alex. of course i didn't - and wouldn't - use glue to repair $500 glasses; besides, the damage had nothing to do with the lens - the side part of the glasses was broken. alex soon realized that what he thought was glue was actually a chip, and asked me if i had chipped them. \r \r absolutely not. and here is where his sparkling customer service came into play: he refused to take responsibility for the chip, claiming, ""i personally feel this happened when the glasses were damaged."" i explained that his ""feeling"" doesn't change the facts: when the glasses were brought in, the lenses were not damaged. he was unwilling to discuss the issue with the manufacturer, repeatedly telling me, ""i know this company, and they're not going to do anything."" he also said that, if they had damaged the lens while fixing another part of the glasses, then it was not their responsibility. and yet it's not his responsibility?\r \r bottom line is: while the doctor at this store is excellent, the owner is a thief. i would think twice before visiting this location.\r \r **BEWARE** more
