I had my sod done in the middle of last summer. They did a lousy job smoothing out the ground before laying the sod and also busted two sprinklers and a downspout cover. They didn't bother to take any time making sure the sod fit together nicely. There's still gaps in the lawn this year which I've had to seed myself. They just did my neighbor's yard and it's possibly the worst sod job I've ever seen. The ground is completely uneven, half the grass is dead, and there's gaps all over. If you're forced to go with them, make sure you keep a watchful eye or you won't be happy with the result.
