My experience at Darro was awful as a manager told me they'd hold a piece of furniture for me (I offered to give information over the phone), and when I arrived a few hours later it was sold....the day before, apparently. I dont believe it (Was there 30 minutes before closing the day before). What I do believe is they sold it to a poor sap who paid approximately $400 more than the product retailed for. After tripling the price (found the exact piece of furniture elsewhere), they slashed it down....keeping it at a rate almost double the retail price. When I noted this, they told me they'd give it to me for $25 (big deal!) cheaper....BUT THEN THEY SOLD IT TO SOMEONE ELSE! I wanted to support what I thought was a local, family business only to find out that they are exactly like most big businesses. The management is rude and obnoxious. They'd rather rip someone off then give an informed customer an honest price on a piece of furniture they promised the customer. I'm sure they'll be having a true liquidation sale soon!
