What difference only a year can make. The Galleria area CPK, once alive and bright, has now fallen into the category of mediocrity in service, ambience and overpriced fare. This once cheerful place used to have smiling hosts, upbeat waitstaff and reasonably priced pizza. That has sadly changed. The host both overweight in a slovenly sort of way and whose voice was barely audible, almost reluctantly spoke to us in a sort of bothered manner. Who interviews these peope anyway? It took her 5 minutes just to know we were even there.The waitstaff, seemingly barely of drinking age seem to have a collective apathetic attitude and a you're-lucky-I'm-waiting-on-you demeanor. I told my resident pizza expert (my son) that for this price we could have had 5 full sized Papa John's Pizzas and with friendly people waiting on us. I mean , the gall of me, wanting good service and friendly staff. I must be gettin old. Never again.
