I dislike Patsy's for its perpetuation of the ""turn good food into haute cuisine"" craze. In a city famous for pizza, that takes some nerve; while the decor lives up to the pricing, the taste certainly doesn't. At this location in particular, New York's characteristic thin crust is paired with stereotypical snotty waiters.
While I'm not of the opinion that one borough makes a better pie (they all have at least one standout) or that popular places are bad (case in point: Artichoke), Patsy's does not match up to the competition.
Pros: Upscale atmosphere
Cons: Pizza crust too thin, very expensive, sauce too acidic
