Three stars and all are for the service. Our waitress was a bubbly, friendly lady all dressed in her Leavenworth best. My husband wasn't feeling well so he just ordered the French Onion soup...mistake...it was very bland and there wasn't any toast under the cheese. Sad face :-( I ordered the Potato Pancakes and added on the Weissworst. The Weissworst was good but the pancakes left something to be desired. Very ""battery"", for lack of a better word, inside and not very crispy on the outside. Apple compote was overpowering. The best part about or day trip to Leavenworth was the drive. Unfortunately the food, the shops and the atmosphere left a lot to be desired. I realize it was the deepest part of the off season but it just felt like the shopkeepers didn't care. So unfortunately Cafe Christa, you have huge potential but missed the mark. A coat of paint and fresh carpet would be a good start :-D Perhaps you could start poling your clientele to see what they want out of an ""Authentic German Cuisine"" restaurant. Never know unless you ask right?
