I couldn't wait for my contract to be up so I could leave this place! At first I was excited to finally start acting school, but once week 5 started I began to feel like I was in the movie Groundhog Day. It was like I was living the experience over and over again! The teacher would never be encouraging to anyone. He also wouldn't share any info on how to get started in the industry. All he would say is to use Google. Huh? I thought they were supposed to help up to get into the industry. Well they sign you to a 3 month contract to begin with, so even if you don't like it the 1st month, they got you! You spend 3 months in Level 1 before going level 2, only thing is they make that choice by ""auditioning"" you for it. Once my 3 months were up I never even got to audition, because they announced they were starting an ""Intermediate"" class before we could get to level 2. WHAT? That means I have to pay more money to pretty much continue level 1. The ""teacher"" makes you feel like you can't act so you would ""need"" more classes. I've been acting for about ten years and I've seen the good and the bad, and this ""teacher"" would put down some really good actors. He would never show you how to do it, he would just tell you. When someone asked him to show us how do it, he became offended. We didn't know if he could even act. This school pops up as one of the 1st google searches when typing in ""acting schools in Atlanta"" but if I were you I would continue scrolling for another school.
