This is a favorite neighborhood restaurant of ours. We have been frequenting it almost weekly since its opening several years ago. We have used Pastini for catering, purchased gift cards as gifts, and all in all have been very satisfied and happy customers. Tonight my husband and I stopped in after a long and busy week to have a quiet Friday night dinner. We asked for a booth and were told by the hostess that she would clear one and seat us immediately. We were the only party waiting. While the booth was being cleared and cleaned, another couple came in. They asked for a booth and were escorted to the booth and seated. When the hostess returned I reminded her that we were waiting for that booth. She showed us a large, open booth next to the kitchen and said we would be very comfortable there. We told her we weren't interested and would eat elsewhere. I am shocked that this restaurant feels it is doing so well that they can afford to treat customers like this. It will be a very long time before we return to or use the services of Pastini. I am still in shock about the treatment we received with no apology or explanation. more
