Amazing Food and Atmosphere but i think the waitstaff needs alot of work!!!!1 10/20/2007

Well this is the third time I have been to 419 West, and every time I go I am amazed by the food and plate presentation. The restaurant itself is beautiful, hard wood and black leather seating and a gorgeous lighting in the shape of a dome.It has an open kitchen, which to me is great ..you feel as if your on one of those cooking shows on food network. The only thing that could be better is if the waitstaff could keep up with the high class style of this restaurant, the first time I was there i had a male server who was very good when he was around it was just finding him when you needed him,but compared to the next two he was great lol.The next time we had a tall blonde girl by the name of Ginger (I remebered her name so i could make sure i didnt have her again)she was polite in a weird way as if she were just trying to ""get it over with"" she had obviously just finished a cigarette because she reaked of smoke. She decided for us that we werent having desert and dropped off our check in a hurry I felt as if i were an inconvenience to her. This last time our poor server was LeeAnn I think that was her name she came to the table and right away apologized she said she had a cold and wasnt feeling well, I thought should we ask for someone else because i dont want to get sick lucky for us we didnt see her that much except for when she brought our food and when she was in the corner dozing off,in all honesty I dont think she was sick and if she was I think she had way to much cough medicine if you know what I mean. I recommend you go to 419 west just for the food and hope you get a nice not in a rush not doped up server or do what I am going to do from now on just get it to go!! Pros: great food Cons: bad service more
