I have been riding at Claremont for over a year now and I certainly understand the negative reviews. I do agree that the person at the front desk is rude and not the best person to deal with. When I first started riding at Claremont they did not explain all their rules and I was left to 'figure it out' on my own after being yelled at a few times. There were also times I was not going to continue riding there because, for the money you pay, the facilities are not what they should be; I was thrown because my horse spooked after slipping indoors because someone failed to do their job with the ground, and at times urine leaks from the ceiling. But then I realized a few things....the instructors know what they are doing and they truly care about you and the horses. And, once you learn the rules and how to ignore the lady at the front desk when she is being her everyday cranky self, you enjoy going to Claremont. Because riding isn't about anyone or anything else except you and your horse.
Pros: Instructors, horses, convenient when you live in the city
Cons: front desk, facilities are not well-maintained, too many riders in small area at times
