It was actually my first visit to Little Tokyo despite living my entire life in L.A. Me and my coworker (another Chinese American) went there to check it out. When we walked in, they told us to wait 5 minutes for seating (more like 10-15 min.). There were actually some empty tables when we went inside. Next came the nightmare. We ordered and ended waiting more than half an hour for the food to arrive. I think one of the chefs there actually comes out to help with the orders. It was obvious they knew we were Chinese from our features or something (although we were speaking with each other in English). I wanted to immediately leave, but out of my courtesy to my friend/coworker, I couldn't. It's so obvious we were discriminated against because we were Chinese. My advice is to enter at your own risk if you happen to be Chinese. I guess some old feelings never die out even decades after the war.
Pros: the origami in the front windows
Cons: racism towards Chinese
