This park is an absolutly wonderful place to visit during the fall or spring.. It gets kinda hot in the summer to ride on a train.
There is everything you would expect at a park and more here..
clean restrooms, covered play area, carasoul, and a train. there is also a snack bar.
parking is decent, and the price is exceptional for the little train lover in your family.
i suggest going during the winter holidays, its so pretty when it is all lit up with christmas lights!

Whether you're a Frank Lloyd Wright fan or not, you have to admire Taliesin West. Nowhere else will you find a group of buildings so wonderfully sculpted to blend with their surroundings. It's simply amazing to see how water, light, and shapes can affect how a building is perceived.
The night time tours are incredible. The buildings are lit from within and you can look out over the lights of the Valley. Wine, cheese and crackers are served and it makes for a very romantic date.

The Phoenix Therapeutic Massage College offers discounted prices on massages given by their students. If I remember correctly, the rates are about $25 for 45 minutes. I went in because I was having some serious lower back pain, and I was looking for a little relief. The office is nice and clean, and the receptionist was friendly and helpful. You have to fill out a pretty extensive health history form before your massage that takes about 20 minutes. My massage was okay—the student I was assigned to had never given a massage to a massage to a pregnant woman (I was expecting at the time), and so even though I told him I shouldn't’t lay on my belly for long, he asked me to lay face down a few times. But besides that he was professional, and asked lots of questions in regards to what I wanted down. My main complaint about the experience was that the room was air conditioned to a temperature that was VERY uncomfortable for getting a massage, so it was not nearly as relaxing as it could have been. But besides that it was a good experience.

Xtreme Gymnastics is a gym in the Scottsdale Airpark. They teach gymnastics for fun and for competitive. They also do Cheer. My kids have been going here for over a year and they love it. The gym is large and clean. The teachers act professionally but are also able to make it fun. They are really good with the real little ones. If your child is uncomfortable on a piece of equipment, they will work with him/her until they are comfortable. They also offer summer camp. It is a great air conditioned facility.

After a beautifully scenic drive to north Scottsdale, AZ, I stopped by a yarn shop that I found in the yellow pages called Jessica Knits. Maybe because I had two other knitting/crochet fans in the car who were chit chatting away, I somehow missed the intersection twice! But after a couple extra turns here and there, we finally found Jessica Knits.
This place was so yummy! Yarns all over the place - and oh my! There were some purse kits that were so beautiful!!! I really liked how the shop was so organized, but with a home like feel. They had books in baskets as well as in shelves on the wall... knitting needles in vases with decorative ribbons and such inside to give it a bit of extra glamor. :-) Their sitting area was like a small living room with soft and cushy couches and chairs. That was when I found their buttons! They had the most adorable kids buttons that I've seen in a long time. They had such a nice selection - perfect for adding that little decoration to my son's shirts.
For me, it was quite a drive and I probably cannot make it too often, but it was so worth it and I definitely want to do it again. You can get a good feel of the shop just by taking a look at their website:

If you are thinking of starting a career in real estate, the Arizona School of Real Estate and Business is the perfect place to begin. They offer classes for many aspects of real estate including sales, brokerage, appraisal and lending. Their schedules are very flexible and class times are available that should fit into anyone's schedule.
The prices are very reasonable and the materials used are outstanding. Their instructors are top notch and are up-to-date in their fields of expertise. The school itself is modern and convenient.
The only downfall I can think of is the crowds. Classes are usually full to capacity and it can be a little frustrating if you come late and have to take a bad seat. Other than that, I would recommend the school without reservation.

I have used Buddy System for my 3 children for the last 10 years or so, and they have always provided me top notch tutors for my kids! They are very thorough and take the time to make a personalized match so that the tutor is really well-suited to your child's needs. My kids have really benefitted from the personalized instruction in all levels of math, science, and SAT prep. The tutors have become such great role models for them. I would highly recommend this very professional and well-run organization for any of your tutoring needs!
