For years I've been all but screaming at non-Mobilian friends that MOBILE not New Orleans started Mardi Gras. It is nice to be able to take them some where and PROVE it to them. This is not by any means a stroller friendly museum. But the donated court costumes are a thing to behold. It's worth a visit to the area. I love all the old pictures as well. And I found I wanted to celebrate Joe Cain Day this year... I never knew the whole story! A great little museum. Parking is easy.
