Children's School Hillsdale United Methodist Church

I had a hard time finding the right pre schoool for my children. The second I walked into this school I could tell how organized and well maintained it is. It's like a mini grammar school with the size and area of the class rooms. The children have very dedicated teachers and most of learn structure and guidlines from, putting on name tag's and grabbing carpet square for them selves to having their own job for the day. I have never seen another pre school like this anywhere and I have checked out a lot of pre schools. more

While looking for preschools for my son, I heard great things about Children's School from a co-worker of mine whose kids went there. I heard that getting in might be difficult (at the time, the registration was on a Saturday morning and people camped out to get a spot - I believe this has changed). Though I thought camping out at 4 am on a Saturday was insane, I'm glad I did it. Nancy Martin, the school's director, is such a warm and friendly woman who deeply cares about the students and makes everyone feel special. Her staff is great and it's a co-op, which keeps the price down and helps with the transition from toddlerhood to preschooler. It also keeps the adult/student ratio down and engenders great community. There is also a nursery for your younger/older kids who don't have school so you don't have to miss out! I can't wait until September when my daughter becomes a preschooler here! more
