As a customer of both the Kagawa and Fuji restaurants in Quincy, I find them both to be acceptable in terms of food quality. There are differences between the 2, most notably for d????cor and atmosphere. I do find it disturbing that some would choose to shamelessly flame the Kagawa and then state that the Fuji is so much better. I can assure you that this is not accurate. When assessing the accurateness of the 2 reviews here, consider that there are 2 Fuji restaurants in Quincy, one in the Wallaston section (the original) and one in Quincy center. The original is pretty deficient in atmosphere and d????cor while the Quincy center location would be more to ones liking if you are into TV monitors in the bathrooms and like flashy accoutrements. While the 2 restaurants are not owned by the same person or families, (as the original owners of the Fuji then opened another restaurant using the street number after Fuji to create a ??????new?????? name?) I personally find the food quality much better at the Wallaston site.

The new restaurant at 1546 Hancock Street is not only convienient to Quincy center, but chic and delicious as well. The interior is dimly lit with classy decor and plenty of comfortable seating. Here they serve a menu featuring sushi and other Japanese cuisine. All the sushi here is hand-rolled and delicious. The tuna maki is highly recommended. The staff here is excellent and super friendly. Sushi is a little bit pricey, but well worth it for the gourmet quality of the ingredients. Awesome.

This Sushi is very fresh, inexpensive and delicious. Chic environment, kinda feels like your in a NYC bar, quite contemporary. Service is excellent and prompt. There is a large TV so watching games is easy, in a great location in the heart of Quincy Center. I have never drank there so I don't know how the cocktails are but if you like Sushi, this is a great place. Good Appitizers are Sumai, Gyoza and the is this Salmon Wonton Appitizer that is delicious if you like spicy salmon.
Pros: Great location, easy to find
Cons: None

Went over to Marina Bay last Friday night. Can you say $4 beers? Not too shabby at all. Throw in some sweet live music and a summer sunset and you got yourself a good time.
Pros: reasonably priced drinks, live music, great setting
Cons: none that I noticed

I was surprised to see the negative reviews on here. I had lunch here with a girlfriend on Friday and they staff could not have bene more hospitable. We wanted to get some sun and the only table that was getting good sun was a round circular table that could sit a larger party. They had no problem accomodating us at hte larger table even though it was just the two of us. Our food was brought out quickly and was delicious. Our server was pleasant and checked in frequently to make sure everything was going well. I would definetly go back here and recommend it to others.
Pros: toasted buns brought to table

My friend and I recently ate at the X&O Trattoria in Quincy Center and were pleasantly suprised by the quality and the ambiance. The food, though not quite as good as that found in the North End, was respectable. I had the Capellini Pomodoro, my friend the Chicken Parmesean. Both were quite good.
Wine list was not very good--- I expected more of a range of prices and qualities.
I also made the mistake of ordering the Bruschetta--- possibly the worst I've had anywhere. The portion was too big even for a group of people, which was a big waste since none of us liked it.
The service here is very friendly and professional--- especially given the riffraff that staffs the neighboring south shore restaurants. It's hard to find good help, but X&O seems to have found it :)
Prices are reasonable--- hardly an entree tops $20. Decor is very nice as well.

I am a little confused as to how one person wrote a review before they went to the restuarant and only gave it one star.
Anyhow, the food is delicious the decor is hip and overall this is a charming South Shore eatery.
