Folkways has been in Eugene for around 20 years. They feature beautifully made women's clothing with ethnic flair. Lots of soft flowing fabrics, silks and velvets, in colors ranging from pale to punchy. The clothes might remind some of the mass produced "Chico's" line, but with a twist. The styles are Asian or Latin American influenced. Most are truly one of a kind pieces, because the fabrics and colors will vary. Along with clothing and scarves, Folkways carries jewelry and other gift items. Prices range from reasonable to spendy. If you are patient you can sometimes get a good price, but if you wait you may never see the things you love in the shop again! Great place to look for a special event outfit. I've had pieces last for years, and they are often so classic that the style doesn't look dated. more
