Whataburger's are non-existent in the north so when we traveled to Galveston, we had never heard of the place. We were pleasantly surprised in the quantity and even, dare I say-quality for fast food that it is.
My teen son has quite the appetite and usually orders the largest double burger they have at any restaurant as he did here. He was stuffed by the time he finished his huge burger, huge drink and huge fries.
We stayed in Galveston for two and a half weeks with many of our meals being eaten at Whataburger. I suppose it was partially a novelty for us.
My son and husband say the jalepeno burger were Awesome!
PROS:
*Everything is supersize and economically priced.
*Food pretty good
*Service was good
DRAWBACKS:
The place always freeeeeezing inside (I actually had to dig out a sweatshirt-suppose I should have had a jalapeno burger too!)
If you've got a very healthy appetite this is the place to go for more food for about the same buck and they have choices for the not so big appetites too but bring a sweater if you get cold easily.
