Great pizza! 10/14/2009

Best pizza in Savannah. The slices are big enough, and cheap as well. It's delicious... You can never get tired of going there. Great cheap date!!! more

Best pizza! 8/10/2008

Great pizza and salads. Fun and friendly. A little on the quirky side, but very good !!! You saved me on a night where I needed something quick to go, and I was so impressed with the food and portions!! Thanks! more

good pizza 5/19/2008

Good place! I They are not open for lunch on week days Good patio seating in the City Market. There was a short wait for a table, but it was worth it. The staff was very hospitable. Pizza didn't take long to get. It is a good thin crust pizza. A good inexpensive dinner more

Vinnie van Go Go's 2/11/2008

This little pizza place is always packed , and the reason is very clear. The pizza is awesome ! You very well may have to wait in line , but you will be glad you . Just order a drink and enjoy some people watching while you wait. more

tied for my best pizza ever 8/21/2007

hard to get a seat, but worth the wait. passed by it on the bus tour of the historic district and it got recomended by the tour guide. toppings were fresh and the cheese they used made it just perfect. Pros: service and location Cons: lack of seating and parking more

One of the Few Decent places in Savannah 1/25/2007

For a city known for its overpriced under performing eateries Vinnies is a welcome change. The sour dough pizza is the ultimate hangover cure after a night of stumbling on river street. Be warned though, most the time youll have to wait for a seat. We always just put in our orders to go, grab some beers and take the pizza box across the street and sit in the square. a definite must. Pros: cheap, good food, savannah classic Cons: hard to get a seat, good things come to those who wait more

Best pizza ever 12/28/2006

This is the best pizza I've ever had, and I'm a girl who loves her pizza. They have an incredible variety of toppings, including the usuals like pepperoni, sausage, onions, olives, peppers, etc. But they also have things like salami, spinach, artichokes, banana peppers, sundried tomatoes, and feta cheese. I love this place. It is part of my weekly routine. Some people may not like the predominantly outdoors seating, but I think it adds to the atmosphere. It's fun to do a little people-watching in historic downtown while munching on some excellent pizza. Pros: excellent variety (calzones and salads too), great quality Cons: sometimes a long wait for seating more

Words can not describe... 7/27/2006

This is pizza so good that you plan for it. You will go out of your way to find the time and reasons to end up there. You will figure out how to pick it up and keep it warm for the 10 mile drive home. You will study the menu trying to figure out what combo to order today. You will be willing to sit out in the market in 95 degree sunny weekend to eat this pizza and drink long necks (and lets not forget the calzones...) if you like food, you will love the slices here.\r Pros: You will a happy person after you eat. Cons: Lots of them, but you will still go. more

Great pizza 7/27/2006

This is a tiny place next to city market..It is always busy and the wait is long but so worth it..I go downtown once aweek just to go to vinnie van go gos.. PROS: great pizza CONS: more

THE place to get pizza in Savannah 6/23/2006

This is a little hole-in-the-wall pizza place in the corner of City Market, but it is great! You sit outside (mostly, a few inside tables, but it's hot in there!) and you're right on the corner so it's a great people-watching spot. They do have delivery, but only within a mile or so of the place because they deliver pizzas in their baskets on their bicycles. If you have to wait for a table, just order a beer and sit around City Market to drink while you wait. It's a fun little pizza joint. PROS: great location, good pizza, fun atmosphere CONS: long wait for seating at times, not much inside seating more

Best pizza ever!! 8/15/2005

This place has the most awesome pizza. You can't go to Savannah and not go to Vinnie Van GoGo's!!!! Pros: Inexpensive, Delivery, Take out more

I love Vinnie's 7/21/2005

I come to Savannah 1 or 2 times a year. This is a ""gotta go to "" place!!!. We make this one of the first stops. I love the pizza! Scrumptious. I can not begin to describe how good it is! I enjoy watching them make it too. It would be a miss, if you did ot at least try a slice. Whcih they sell! Pros: Open late, by the slice, Huge pizzas Cons: Wine selection?, Not able to eat more!, I can not get there m more

Best in Savannah 7/11/2005

I used to live in Savannah, and ate at Vinnies seeral times a week. I went back for a visit recently, and it is still as good as ever. Incredible prices, fun atmosphere, ideal location, fast service. Downfalls are long waits and little parking. If your in a hurry, order a cold slice to go. They are only cheese, and they have been sitting under the lamp, but they are still really good. My favorite combo: sundried tomato, fresh mushrooms, and black olives yumm!!!!!!!!!!! Pros: cheap, delicious, fun Cons: parking, long waits, mostly outdoor seatin more

Don't miss out! 6/3/2005

We recently visited Savannah for the 1st time, we settled for pizza at Vinnie's after deciding the Lady & Sons wasn't worth the wait...ultimatley I'm glad we ended up at Vinnie's. The pizza was the best I have ever eaten!! And my husband worked for Papa John's for 5 years!! We loved the atmosphere...great day to enjoy the patio...can't wait to go back...I'm craving it now!! Don't miss out if you have the opportunity to try Vinnie's. Pros: Inexpensive, Delicious, Fun Cons: Mainly outdoor seatin, a little crowded more

A Must Try 3/22/2004

I am orginally from up north and this pizza is definitely one of the best I have had! The atmosphere is very casual and fun, there is minimal seating in side. Vinnie's is packed on the weekends but try a weeknight to get in quicker. They do deliver very locally to downtown, their delivery ""drivers"" are on bicycles with large pizza size baskets on the front...which adds to the charm. I would definitely order by the slice unless you have a big appetite or a group! more

Best pizza anywhere! 7/9/2003

We've been to Savannah twice & had Vinnie's both times. The pizza is the best we've ever had! I don't know what it is...but it's good! The wait is usually long for a table & the only seating is outdoors, but many people order to go & just sit in the City Market somewhere & eat from the box. Don't leave Savannah w/o trying this fun place! Pros: food, good location Cons: long wait more

Best Pizza in Savannah 10/25/2002

I no longer live in Savannah and it's possible that things have changed (although I can't imagine Savannah changing much). Anyway, Vinnie's is/was the best pizza in Savannah hands down, no contest. Pros: Good Pizza, Good location, Funky folks Cons: Parking, Parking, Parking more
