Had I only been to Vidalia and Grapes once or twice, the rating would have been a 5 star perfect. However, the 3rd and most recent visit there was disappointing and definitely something lost from the other times. The menu had changed and some great dishes taken off. Our waiter’s mannerisms were on par with an Applebee’s waiter: many jokes, overly friendly banter, etc rather than the reserved yet friendly and respectful attitude most elegant restaurants demand. Some of the items we had ordered previously did not have the flavor before and seemed smaller portioned and a bit overcooked. That said, this still is a wonderful restaurant to visit and the food is excellent. It’s tapas style, meaning each item on the menu comes in a small, appetizer-like portion to share among 2-3 so that many items can be ordered and sampled. Very expensive, and dessert is not that fabulous (beware, it’s just portioned for one person). Recommended, but be warned.
