Van Putte Gardens

We just contracted with Van Putte Gardens to landscape the front of our recently built home and the whole experience was exceptional. All the staff there are very professional, knowledgeable, helpful, friendly and courteous. The design was beautiful and took into consideration the fact we needed deer resistant plantings. The front of our home has curb appeal that many stop to admire. It also has added value to our home. We highly recommend Van Putte for all your gardening and landscaping needs. Bill R more

We recently had a flagstone patio and planter walls installed. We worked with Marcy at Van Putte's on the design and installation plan. She came up with a awesome design that fit us and our home perfectly. The end result is beautiful. The guys did a terrifc job laying the flagstone and all the stone work on the walls. The plan selection is perfect and it is all minimal maintenance, just as we requested. Would definitely have them do more work at our house. - KathyM more

We had a lawn installed along with front yard landscaping. We had a great experience with our project manager and the Garden Center. Our project manager took his time with us and really helped us make good decisions. He created a concept after talking with us and provided and estimate free of charge. Their workers are courteous and efficient and I couldn't believe how fast the work was completed. We couldn't imaging working with another company and will definitely be working with Van Putte for future projects. more

I recently moved to a neighborhood west of Rochester and I discovered Van Putte Gardens. I was very impressed with their customer service. They take time to assist you. I personally think that they are the best garden center in the area. One of their manager took the time to track down and order me a plant that they did not carried. That they kind of customer service that I have not expoerienced in any other garden center before more

Van Putte Gardens in my opinion is one of the best garden stores in the Rochester area. I had a section of my lawn that I needed to have sod and other areas that I wanted seeded. I called several other garden centers and landscapers...none of which wanted to be bothered with such a "minor" project. I called Van Putte's and they couldn't be happier to come to my house to give me an estimate. They did the work and it came out beautiful! Todd E. was very responsive with any questions or concerns I had. I have purchased several trees, hanging baskets, perennials and annuals from them as well. All their nursery stock is extremely healthy and the staff is always there to answer questions. They definitely rate a five star in my book!! Gail C. more

DESERVES 5 STAR RATING!!!! I called about needing help with my DIY landscaping at my house. They suggested I take a few photos and measurements. I brought them in and was lucky to be greeted by the owner, Carl, who directed me to Don. Don understood I was overwhelmed and in need of his suggestions. We walked around the nursery picking out different bushes and plants/flowers. The landscaping came out awesome!!! I couldn't ask for more from the local nursery! This is one of the best places I have been to for landscaping products. They are really helpful and seem to know alot about different kinds of plants and the best place for them in the garden. I plan on returning to this place as soon as spring rolls around again. The parking is very good. more

Van Putte Gardens is located near my office on the west side of Rochester. While not my favorite garden shop, they do carry a good variety of annuals, perennials and small shrubs. Their prices are reasonable, and the staff if friendly and helpful. I run in there for plants when needed for the office, but it is not my first choice. more

I have recently discovered Van Pute since they sposored this years fall event - many nice events for the fall especially involving the kids plus fall decorating events. Went there to get my corn stalks and hay bales. They have good prices on their fall flowers as well as other decor for the fall..\ I have shoppped there in the spring for their geranium and impatiens specials and also for their herbs and decor specials. I defiitely will cotinue to be a loyal customer and enjoy this fall event that they have.. more
