Editorial review from Citysearch 1/22/2013

I have delivered all three of my children with Triangle OB/GYN. I couldn't have been happier. The first child was delivered by Stephanie DeVane (midwife), the second child was delivered by Kim and my third (just this past December) was delivered by Dr. V (the best doctor I have yet been to. I saw him throughout my third pregnancy for every appointment. I really never had to wait and he always took his time answering all my questions and concern since I was considered advanced maternal age at 39. Dr. V made sure that he was available to be there to deliver my child. I will continue to go to Triangle OB/GYN after the merger with Physicians for Women. more

Editorial review from Citysearch 11/5/2012

Triangle OB delivered my second child so I felt good about them going into my 3rd pregnancy...BUT at 6 weeks I called in with bleeding and cramping and was DENIED an appointment because I had sex in the last 48 hours. I literally begged for an appointment and was told I would have to wait until my next scheduled appointment in one week! The nurse said ""if you are having a miscarriage, there isn't anything we can do about it anyway. You'll just have to wait until next week."" Seems to me that healthy pregnancies are the priority. more

So glad I found this practice 6/27/2011

I moved to the area from Boston when I was 24 weeks pregnant. I was sad to leave my awesome OB, and nervous about finding a new one here to meet my expectations. Despite the low user reviews of Triangle OB/Gyn, I decided to make an appointment based on the recommendation of my cousin and my Bradley instructor. more

TERRIBLE!! 2/28/2011

I went to this practice as a new patient. I thought I might have mastitis, based on information I read on the internet. Not even focusing on the rude staff or the fact that I had to wait for 45 minutes, the main problem is that the midwife I saw DID NOT EVEN EXAM ME! I told her my symptoms, and that I suspected I had mastitis based on the internet & she just prescribed me antibiotics. She NEVER touched my breast to exam it!! I think this is malpractice. What if I had an abscess or god forbid something even more serious? How can someone prescribe medication without doing an exam???? This place is terrible and I would never, ever go back! more

Do Not Go There 5/25/2010

This is my first pregnancy, and I went to this office from the referral of my primary care physician. I wish I would have gone somewhere else. Pros: None Cons: Rude Staff, No Communication, Do Not Treat Patients Well, et more

I will never go there again 1/29/2010

i first went there in 2005 with my son and was considered high risk. i had excellent care and had a healthy baby. i decided to come back in 2009 with our 3rd baby and was considered high risk. i had regular checkups as if i was normal pregnancy. they wouldnt see me when i had a problem. i had to go to the emergency room everytime. i told them that i stopped feeling the baby move and they said that was normal and okay since they could hear the heartbeat. this went on for 7 weeks until i was 32 weeks and went for a growth scan at duke perinatal and the baby had stopped growing at 25 weeks and there was no fluid. thats why i couldnt feel her move anymore. these people were so concerned that medicaid wouldnt pay for the utlrasound if it turned out nothing was wrong that my baby had to die. when i asked them to explain theirselves they turned on me and said it was my fault. i had a c-section and after my staple removal dr. v told me i did not need a 6 week checkup and he would see me in the spring. i left and made an appointment with another gyn to get my checkup and had to have medical records sent over. a week later these guys had the nerve to bill me 35.00 for sending records for an appointment they should have but did not provide. i will never return to this place and feel guilty to all the women i have referred there. i hope none of them suffered because of it. Pros: accept medicaid Cons: everything else more

Not recommended 7/9/2008

I would not recommend this practice to anyone. For starters, the wait time. My first trimester was fine, but my second trimester I had to wait 1-1.5 hours in the exam room to be seen, and now that I'm in my second trimester, that wait has increased to an incredible 2 hours! It's like they wait until you're too far along in your pregnancy to change providers before they stop caring about their wait times. I've mentioned it to them several times and they still have been unable/unwilling to do anything about it. It's always someone else's emergency, like I simply don't matter to them, or they're just understaffed. I understand that they'll have emergencies in medicine, but come on! Shouldn't they plan for that sort of thing? Worse than that, it's the vague feeling that I'm just a number, nobody has any idea who I am, or cares, and I've been coming consistently (at least monthly) for almost a year! I get more respect from my GP that I see maybe once or twice a year. It's so sad that I've spent so much time and money on such an important practitioner that seems totally apathetic about their patients. Sure, they're right next door to WakeMed Cary, but do yourself a favor Ladies and find a better OB. This one is definitely the pits. Pros: Next door to WakeMed Cary Cons: Wait time, apathetic staff, feeling like a number/anonymous more

Unprofessional office staff 2/21/2007

cannot comment directly on this physician, but I can without doubt state that the office staff is completely lacking in professionalism. I had to wait over an hour to be seen (after arriving 15 minutes early for my appointment). The last 30 minutes was under the drape. Apparently whoever made my appointment (3 weeks in advance) did not put it on the Dr's schedule so he didn't even know I was there. This might have been an excusable mistake, but I was absolutely horrified to get a form letter, 3 months after a colposcopy stating that my (pap) results were abnormal, they had tried to contact me by phone several times, and to call them as soon as possible to discuss the results. Apparently they don't have a form letter for abnormal biopsy results and it takes 3 months for them to get back to me about it. My cell phone never received a call from them. I know they had my correct phone number because i did receive a call reminding my of my initial appointment. I would never recommend this practice to anyone. I get more compassion from my dentist. Cons: form letters, lag time to give negative test results more
