Toscanini's is, bottom line, the best ice cream I have ever eaten. Their birthday cakes also taste amazing and are beautiful. I also heard that Tosci's was rated the best ice cream in the world by the New York Times. That's impressivo! Expensive, perhaps, but I'm willing to pay for quality and to support local business. more

A Little Overrated, A Lot Overpriced 6/2/2006

Tosci's is good, I'm not arguing with that, exactly. They've got this dark chocolate flavor that I even really like. Still, it's really expensive. On a date or a special occasion, I can see going there and maybe getting some coffee, too. I gotta say, in general, I think a Hood ice cream bar or a triple chocolate King Cone or anything else you get at the 7-11 is just as satisfying. Maybe I'm just not a real ice cream connoisseur. Mostly, I just think it's a lot of money to spend on dessert, especially considering the smallish portions. more

Great Ice Cream and Espresso 3/18/2006

Sit at the "big table" to avoid the burning sun and sip some mighty fine espresso. Later in the day get some of the best ice cream around. The place has free wi-fi and baked goods are only $1 if you also get coffee. On weekends there's a semi-full brunch at the "big table" for a nominal cost. During the week this is a great place to relax and read the paper and catch up on your email. more

Tosci’s is the best ice cream in the boston area. Well, toscis and christina’s. However, toscis is more convenient to the T, so it wins on accessibility! Their ice creams are just really flavored and special. Try the burnt sugar—its excellent. Their mango ice cream, cherries and chips, and butter chip are all really awesome. Their Viennese coffee is also very rich and really gives you a great buzz. more

Toscanini's has the best ice cream in Boston. If you'd like to have the perfect little dessert, order a micro sundae. Though tiny, it's so delicious that it is completely satisfying. more

Forget the Ben and Jerry's crap. They stopped being good a decade ago. Don't bother with the Coldstone Creamery either and their smoosh ins. Go straight for the Guiness ice cream at Toscanini's. The almond cream is not bad also. more

We all scream for ice cream 8/14/2005

This place has some great and very funky flavors. Prices are a little steep, but worth every penny. The coffee is great as well as the limited selection of baked goods. Limited seating in a small store, but friendly staff. They have the usually milk shakes and other ice-cream confections, that you can expect. The flavors and consistency of the ice creams are a plus. more
