Upper Crust does some crazy things to pizza. I once had a chicken and pesto pizza and i got it and it looked like St. Patty's day on foil. And then I ate it. So gooood. They often have some crazy combinations as daily specials which are almost always worth it. They also serve beer...which seems odd because it doesn't really seem like a restaurant. You get your own paper plates and napkins and things...but when your pie is up, they will bring it to you...same with the beers (they even have draught beers!). When all is said and done you pay up at the register..and it's probably best that you leave a few bucks in the tip jar, they did kind of serve you. Out on the street, you can see directly into the kitchen as they toss the dough and create your meal. Some of the best pizza on this side of town for sure. more

Different everytime you go 4/3/2006

I have been to the Upper Crust several times in the past couple of months and each time I go, the pizza tastes different. This pizzeria is never disappointing as they know how to do pizza right. I love any pizza with sun dried tomatoes and eggplant and their Beacon street is just the right amount of grease after a night of fun. I would recommend any of their vegetarian pizzas ( sorry I haven't had any others but I'm sure they are good). more

Upper Crust 10/10/2005

This is really one of the best pizzerias in Boston. Even my friends who don't like thin crust pizza, like their version. Look for the specials by the slice, always interesting and a good deal. Good for our-of-town guests and large groups, particularly those on a budget! Located right in the middle of Coolidge Corner--browse around and burn burn off some of that pizza after your meal! more

simply the best 8/16/2005

This is the best pizza you're going to find anywhere in Boston. Thin crusted with a ton of gourmet toppings option, I have trouble eating pizza from anywhere else. A small pie is enough for two people, and a large for four. Their salads are decent, but nothing to write home to mom about. They've just started having beer on tap, so it's great to go for pizza and a beer on a Friday night. They also now deliver, but if you live outside of Brookline (even one block, like I do!) expect to pay an extra delivery surcharge, but its well worth it! more
