The Old Tea House

Great Chinese food! I ordered the chicken fried rice and my friend and I was able to share it still be full. they give you a lot of portion which is such a good deal. My favorite has to be the Boba (pearl/tapioca) whatever you call it drinks. Their tapioca is so chewy and nice. Other places i eat at in the bay are soggy, but this place is really nice and chewy. I love the consistency of the pearl. the drinks are great here! they have great Thai Tea here, and the best thing is you can add boba in your thai tea. I've always wanted to have my thai tea drinks at thai restaurants when i go out with my family...but they never have boba in thai restaurants, but now i can finally have it with boba! Love it! the next best thing is their green tea blizzard! It's thick and creamy, but still light at the same time. It's hard to describe, but it's really good, everyone should give this place a try! more

During summer a few years ago, I got a chance to go to Davis for a summer program. Near the school was an Old Tea House. My friends and I loved this place. There was really nothing else to do around where we were besides getting boba. Like the one in berkeley it has tons of TV screens playing asian music videos. Their boba drinks are the best though! more

I've always been kind of torn between the Old Tea House and Tapioca Express. I keep on coming back to the Old Tea House for the food. Even after three years, and even when we revisit Davis, we can't get past ordering the same dish! Crispy noodles with beef. AuugghhH! Heaven! That's all I can say. You need to try it out for yourself. There are usually movies on TV. However, they're usually in Chinese. I don't speak a word, but I can sometimes follow along. Anyhow it's pretty entertaining to see men leap buildings like it's nothing. Then of course, there are the tapioca drinks. If you've never tried them, be ready for an interesting experience. It grows on you. more

The OTH is a very, very popular place for local students to hang out. OTH serves all kinds of Asian cold/hot drinks, e.g. pearl (tapioca) tea and usual express foods like fried rice, noodle and such. (However the express items usually takes a half an hour to make). In addition of the food the OTH also is known for its Asian pop cultural identity. Three flat-screen TV constantly display up-to-date Asian (Hong Kong) MVs. Another reason why OTH attracts many loyal college students. more

The old tea house has a large selection of tapioca Drinks. My favorite is always that almond flavored with tapioca balls on the bottom. The old teahouse also offers food. The food is pretty good, very Hong Kong style; my favorite has to be the fried noodle dishes. It is also a good place to just hang out with your friends, enjoy good food and a fun atmosphere. more

This is a wonderful place for anyone to get teas, they specialize in milk teas, but also have a variety of blended drinks, each has the option of coming with tapioca or fruit jellies. Mix and match, its all delicious. They also have food that's quite cheap, each student or nonstudent will feel like they got their money's worth as well as get full. The bag of chicken they sell is relatively cheap, but comes in big chunks that's not good for nibbling. Asian music or movies is what is blasting through the place and its just a wonderful place to hang out. more
