If you are in Davis and in mood for a quick Mexican bite--Come to the DC! Every time I go I am refreshed by the taste of DC's salsa and delighted by the friendly staffs. The service is top-notch and tip is not required (but welcomed).
The burritos are fully stuffed with nature's goodies with a reasonable price tag. You can also watch the chefs cooking or sit in the well-designed dining room. Again, this place is fantastic!

I accidentally checked out this nice store when I was looking for someone to check on my brakes. I asked several stores and all asked for approx. $19.99 just for checking. What's worse, they all seemed eager to persuade me just to replace new brakes for a "discount" price around $149.99.
But there is still honest people around! I went in this store and without a second word the guys did a FREE check up on my car and told me my brakes were still good. I have trusted their services ever since.
Thank you Comp-U-Tune!

The stores opens daily at 11:30AM, but be aware! Long lines usually start forming around 11:00 so be sure to get there early!

The OTH is a very, very popular place for local students to hang out. OTH serves all kinds of Asian cold/hot drinks, e.g. pearl (tapioca) tea and usual express foods like fried rice, noodle and such. (However the express items usually takes a half an hour to make).
In addition of the food the OTH also is known for its Asian pop cultural identity. Three flat-screen TV constantly display up-to-date Asian (Hong Kong) MVs. Another reason why OTH attracts many loyal college students.

This restaurant delivers authentic Thai menus with a reasonable price tag. The staffs are warm and courteous. Any choice of the three curry (green, red, yellow) works well, and you can choose either chicken, lamb, or beef to accompany. I also strongly recommend the "hollow tube" leaves dish which is the Asian leaves pan-fried with garlic and herbs. The restaurant serves rice in three ways: regular, Hai-nan style, and coconut style (50c more). Definitely the coconut style! There is also a variety of drinks available.
Bottom line: Great great dining spot!

I stay here like no more than a loser on the eve of July 4th. Losing my hostel registration I had no choice but stepped into this luxurious place nearby the Time SQ and prepared myself for a rip-off. Result? Exactly what I expected.
Still, the regular room in the Sheraton Hotel was a very comfortable shelter.
The queen sized bed felt great. Spacious room, work desk, TV, coffee machine, nice equipped bathroom, and a nice view on the 15th floor made the bill looked less detestable.
A nice choice if you don't mind to pay a bit extra; a definite choice if you can get a deal.

Price is, just like what they claimed, unbeatable. However, there's yo ain no free lunch. Watch out for the after-10pm-don't-even-bother-me staff members, because if anything happens you are on you own.

China Tofu is a great place to enjoy Chinese food. It's one of my most frequent-visit Chinese cuisines. Not only the food tastes great, the menu price is unbelievably cheap. For a dinner of 3 people you can expect a bill around $25. Yes that's a very common deal in the Si valley.
The dining area is decent, however not sparkling clean.
Then why just 3 stars? You ask.
There are a couple times when I found the spinach was not thoroughly washed... That's why.
