Tasca is an epicurean delight in the mouths of Bostonians. Nestled conveniently on Commonwealth Ave in Brighton it matches delicious Tapas with a uniquely European atmosphere. W...

I went to Tasca for the second time in a two years last Monday, and I did not enjoy my meal either trip. I tried 5-6 different plates and I would have to say I only enjoyed one of...

Absolutely Fabulous 5/25/2006

Love it! Every thing I have ever eaten here- and I have tried every tapa they make I think- has been mouthwatering and cause for exclaim. There's never enough of their Sangria either. The waitstaff are attentive AND attractive, bonus. Great ambiance. more

Ole! 2/13/2006

It is hard to find good Spanish food in the Boston area - but Tasca fills the bill admirably. Tasca is a casual, local place. We arrived in jeans and felt comfortable. The menu is mostly tapas (small sampling dishes of various foods). Each dish costs around $3-$7 and for a couple, you should order 3 or 4 dishes, which are meant to be shared. We tried several tapas dishes and for the most part we thought it was great. Vegetarians: If you eat seafood, there are many options. If you eat only eggs, there are some dishes to choose from. If you do not eat seafood or eggs, there is not much for you. The service is great. We were greeted at the door, water glasses arrived quickly and we received our order fast. more

Mediterranean Romance in Brighton 10/1/2005

This small restaurant is tucked into a strip on Commonwealth Avenue that includes a video place and a convenience store. Once inside, however, you'll be struck by the dim, romantic atmosphere of the place, which the exterior belies. The restaurant offers a handful of entrees, but specializes in tapas, with more than two dozen to choose from. The goat cheese empanadas are fabulous, as are the setas al jerez -- portabello mushrooms in a sherry cream sauce, served with crisp crostini. Enjoy a pitcher of their famous sangria to complement your meal, and to complete a perfect romantic evening. The restaurant can get busy, so reservations are recommended, especially for Thursday-Saturday nights. more

not bad 8/31/2005

This place isn't bad - average food, average drinks... but I think I'm just biased since I love Tapeo so much! Great for groups, we had a going away party there for 15 people. Parking is hard around this area, so be sure to bring cash for the valet dude more

The tapas and sangria are excellent 8/16/2005

Tasca is a restaurant that you can take your friends to or have a romantic date in. The atmosphere makes me reminiscent of Spain. The food is very good and moderately priced. If you are going with one other person, I would recommend getting 5-6 tapas. Obviously you have to get the sangria which is full of flavor and fruit! Definitely leave room for dessert. more

Great Tapas Place 8/12/2005

Tasca was really nice and somewhat romantic. Our waiter was courteous and attentive. Food was great but the dessert was delicious. The Sangria was good too. If you eat a lot, it does get expensive. They have valet parking. On the menu, they warned of parking at Whole Foods and the likeliness of getting towed. However, as we left I noticed the valet attendant getting a car for a departing guest...the car was parked in the Whole Foods/Citizen parking lot. FYI. I did like that you get a free desert the month of your birthday if you filled out a form/survey. more

Tapas and Atmosphere 8/5/2005

Tasca is a prefect combination of food, price, and atmosphere. This good sized Tapas restaurant has an extensive menu of a wide variety of Tapas dishes for you to share with all your friends. Some are spicy, some have seafood, some and very hearty, but all are fun to share and enjoy. Great place for a medium sized group. more
