Editorial review from Citysearch 7/3/2012

Used a new mobile website called anythingnightlife.com for guest list hosting. We were hooked up with drink tickets and a comp bottle because we brought a lot of girls with us. This club is a hot spot on Thursdays because of industry nights! I would go back again. more

what a joke!! you'll eat better at panda express 10/20/2011

we were forced to come to this dump because the person who organized the event picked tao, claiming it was great. our reservation that was booked basically meant that we had to hold on to a vibrating pager and stand around in a crowded lounge with smelly people. the few of us that were fortunate enough to get a seat got to sit on a stained uncomfortable sofa where who knows how many tourist with their germs had sat before. while the line backed up out of the entryway, about 4-5 young girls stood around and did nothing at the hostess counter. after 45 minutes of waiting after the time our reservation was booked, we asked one of these ""model"" hostesses when we could be seated and all we got was attitude. it was so loud we couldn't even hear what unintelligent quip she might have spit out. when we finally got sat, we were put in a crowded room where you could elbow the people at the table next to you. what's better, our table was some nasty beat up round rickety old banquet table that they covered with linen and called it good. the service was pathetic, i had asked 4 times for a soda and our server ""sean"" brought me one only after another person at our table had to ask him for it. we had a party of 11, so this guy did nothing to help us because the restaurant gave him a 20% autogratutity on the checks total. there were other kids who would pour water for us, but if we asked them to bring us a drink, they'd say you had to ask the server. our server ""sean,"" with the surly attitude, who hadn't shaved in weeks, stood amongst other employees and stared at us from across the room, as our glasses got emptier and our table became more cluttered with dirty dishes. the majority of the group of us were all locals, and all work in the service industry out here and there's a reason why we've been avoiding this place, and now we have the proof. the food was way below average. we spent $15 on 5 frozen pot stickers that were just warmed and thrown on a plate with soy sauce, and another $30 for pad thai that was ignored by most as it was passed around the table. they boast about their chef who makes sushi that's packed with mayonnaise and tastes like balogna, and the scallops were way overcooked. the person who chose this place was completely let down, and all the horror stories we've heard about this place were proven to be true. the only thing good about the place is their marketing director, for being clever enough to convince thousands of tourists of his hoax that this place is actually worthwhile. the girly bartenders at tao beach can't even add, subtract, or make change when you purchase a drink from them, and don't even know how to make most of the drinks you probably want to order. more

PARTY AT TAO!!!!! But do it right with bottle service 7/24/2011

Yes Tao is one of the best clubs in Las Vegas!! It is, I would say ranked in the top 3 when it comes to nightclubs on the Las Vegas strip. If you are planning to visit TAO and you want to avoid any of the following: Standing in line outside the club waiting to get in. Inside the club without a place to sit. Standing in line waiting to order drinks from the bar. Our advice is you should enjoy your night at TAO with bottle service. The benefits of bottle service include: Easier entry into club!! ( VIP HOST WALK-IN) A private table inside with seating!! Cocktail waitress that will assist you with your bottle. I have been working in the Las Vegas nightlife for over 8 years and would be happy to answer any of your questions at 702-503-0311 or at Vegasclubpromoting@gmail Thanks, Andrew Sinatra more

Lives up to the Hype 6/1/2011

I finally partied at Tao nightclub this memorial day, and I have to say the space lives up to the hype. It was crowded and the music was the same pumping auto-tuned crap that they play at every other Vegas club, but this was one of the coolest looking clubs I've ever visited, which made me forgive some of the lamer elements of the place. more

Tao Party 4/3/2011

Tao. Everyone wants to be like you. Everyone wants to go to you. But the truth of the matter is no one has been able to match your status. Too packed, racist in who they let in. 4/3/2011

TAO club was a shocking and disappointing evening. I was visiting from NY last weekend and what a nightmare. People with drugs everywhere, I thought was a trendy nice club?\r But between 1am and 3am it is out of control and way too many people in that building. If there were a fire not too many patrons would get out alive\r Poor management more

Don't waste your time - READ => 2/24/2011

The truth is that Tao Las Vegas has a high employee turnover rate. You can always find 'now hiring' ads in sleazy newspapers as explained to us by our informed & sympathetic waitress. As for the clientele - too many monied C- students lacking any class for our taste. The untrained and unprofessional help create anything but a mediocre experience for those patrons with even modest sophistication. Instead of bouncers fitting in to the scenery they are oppressive & give you the creeps. Don't get me wrong - we have 'slummed' in some of the best dives in the world & partied from the largest raves to the humblest indie wrap parties and had great times - but Tao is just a bullsh*t scene and a poor refection on Venetian management - I & my guests will never be back, there is simply too much fun to be had elsewhere. \r btw - the Remy Louis VIII is only $5000 + 8.10%tax + 20% service charge = $7.600.00 , pretty good considering a bottle retail only cost $1,500. My favorite restaurant in Costa Mesa 9/13/2010

This is one of our favorite restaurants in Mesa Costa. The food quality is amazing and the gesture is great out here! We are strongly vegetarians and believe me this one of the finest restaurant for veggie people. The menu emphasizes burgers and heirloom tomatoes which I believe is best in the town. I was impressed by the taste selections of the wines by the glass prior to ordering (opened a new bottle for me). Believe me they are awesome. more

A Good Time 7/12/2010

Friends and I went to Vegas for the weekend recently and came across TAO from some cool couples we met at a nearby hotel. Had a great time and would recommend you get plenty of sleep before going!! Pros: Dreat DJ, Music mix, crowd Cons: a bit loud it seemed more

TAO & TAO Beach VIP for my girls!!! 6/16/2010

This was our 4th trip of the year to Vegas, and this was by FAR the best. Besides the flight getting delayed, the rooms being more expensive than what we expected, and couple of the girls already getting too drunk from the beginning...we had A LOT of trouble from the get go. Lets just say we were lost and not prepared. Well ALL of that didn't matter to our host, Kevin, who took care of our partying, dining, and pool party experience. At TAO Kevin arranged for us to be walked in by a VIP host right past the long ass ridiculous line at TAO and he took care of us at his very own lounge table with drinks to pre-game. Then he took care of us at another table and gave us rock star treatment throughout. He also hooked us up at a great restaurant at the Venetian for Saturday night and planned our trip to LAVO nightclub & Palazzo where ONCE again he gave us VIP. at TAO Beach on Sunday is where we owned the daytime. Comped daybed + free food and beverage, walking in with Kevin and given VIP treatment. He coordinated everything from when to show up, what taxi routes to take, to restaurants and even gave us a discount for the last day of our stay there. If you need a Vegas hook up hit up Kevin Lee (714-209-3387) he will take care of it. Back to Vegas in 3 weeks!!! Pros: Our host took care of everything!!! Cons: rooms are too expensive =( more

Bouncers Ruin this Place 3/30/2010

I live in New York and have been to Tao here in the city many times and have enjoyed it so I decided to check out the club in Vegas. Pros: Club layout, cool bartenders Cons: Bouncers more

Excellent Service 3/12/2010

We had no reservation on a busy Thursday night and were seated within 15 minutes. Our servers were on the ball and very helpful. Appetizer: Peking Duck Spring Rolls - Very Good. Main Courses: White Tuna Special - Excellent, King Crab Roll - OK ( My local small town Fuji has a slightly better version for $2 less), Grilled Swordfish - Some of the best fish you can eat with an incredible butter sauce. The Sea Bass was recommended highly by the table next to us as well. Dessert: Chocolate Lava Cake with Coconut Ice Cream - Very Good ( Comes with chocolate chop sticks). Drinks were very good. The Dr. Losen Reisling is now at the top of my list. It is a beautiful place and we had great service but it is very loud. I don't know about the nightclub except that if you eat dinner here they will stamp your hand to get in for free and you get to jump the line. They are very strict about attire though. I would definitely return for a special occasion! Pros: Great Service, Great Food, Free Club Entrance Cons: Noisy more

Too full and full of itself...run away! 12/1/2009

Drove out from SoCal to attend the big Halloween party at Tao the Friday before Halloween...this was also supposed to be the Saw IV release party. This was my 2nd time at Tao (my 1st time, not being so good). Pros: Nice decor, decent music, good crowd Cons: Over priced, obnoxious security, disorganized more

Not Gay Friendly 9/30/2009

My gay friend was repeatedly approached by the bouncers at Tao nightclub and finally they escorted him out. The bouncer asked if he gay and told him that was why he was being kicked out but that his opinion did not reflect Taos opinion. I will never go there again and I suggest other people do not spend there money at a hate club! more

Fun for Good Looking Girls who just want to have FUN 9/30/2009

It was fun. My girlfriends and I never have to pay to get in and always get invited to sit at tables with some hot guys. Its a fun place if you like to dance and just have fun. Would not recommend if you are looking for a hook up. more

Don't wait in line 8/3/2009

I can get you right in the club. NO bs. No cover no waiting in line much cheaper than everyone else. 702-490-1022 Darin thanks. Pros: No cover or waiting more

It's a nightclub, not a restaurant. 7/12/2009

I visited Tao in the Venetian believing it was a decent asian restaurant. I was quickly disabused of this notion. Pros: Nice atmosphere, loved the sumi calligraphy Cons: Average food, pushy wait staff, too much scene more
