Southern Ohio Builders, Blue Ash, put a new roof on my house in 2009. What a disaster!\r It leaked due to improper flashing, the ridge vent was never cut in, and a section where\r the shingles didn't meet was tarred. Trying to get someone to correct the problem was not possible. more

We had all new windows installed by this builder in November 2000. Since that time , we have had seal failure on 5 or 6 windows. It has usually taken 2-3 months from initial message left to company to replacement of windows (on lifetime guarantee.) To this point, the manufacturer , Allside, has replaced the windows. Per their warrantee, I am responsible for installation of replacements. I do not know why we continue to have problems with seal failures, but please be aware of this problem before purchasing. more

I recently order and had windows installed through SOB. The sales agent was professional, knowledgable, and down to earth. He brought a sample window and explained details of the product that SOB manufactures. I had recent estimates done and knew what price to expect for the windows. His price was reasonable and the warranty was too good to pass up. Pros: professionals worked on my house. Cons: materials used to shim windows more

I recently had a kitchen put in by southern ohio builders. Thsi was a project I have contemplated for a few years. They were very attentive, polite and really listened to what I was trying to achieve. They went through every step of the planning process and helped me create a kitchen that was even more than I imagined. with the additition to the job that were added we were able to have our kitchen completeed just a few days past our origonal scheduel. I really felt they went the extra mile to give me what I needed. Our designer was actually the person who did the installation and it turned out great! more

TWO YEARS AGO THIS COMPANY PUT A NEW PORCH COVER ON MY HOME. IT IS FALLING APART NOW. I HAVE CALLED PAUL TWICE NOW AND HE KEEPS TELLING ME THAT HIS SERVICE DEPT WILL BE OUT. About 2 years ago I contrated this company to put in windows and a roof on my house. Well that was a big mistake I have windows that the seals broke on and in between the pains there is mold growing and my roof is just a mess.. It is all bumpy and the shingles are falling off and on top of it all they did not put the color shingle that I asked for on my roof.. When went to them about it they were rude and told me that they could not help me.. They refused to fix the damages that they have caused and now because of this I cant sell my house so I can get closer to my family.. They ruined all my plans.. If I were you I would not go with this company. they are just there to screw you over .. and they dotn care what you say as long as they get yoru money.. I have had one of the worst experiences with this company. My roof leaked after installation and now after a complete year the work has not been corrected or fixed. i have had critters get into my eaves and leaks so bad it has damaged a dropped ceiling. The work was completed in march or April of 2005 and still needs fixing. i do not recommend this company for any work on someones home. more
