Schoolkids love music! 4/16/2006

Since I listen to a lot of music no one has heard of, I have trouble finding CDs I want at the mall. But Schoolkids Records on Franklin St. always has what I'm looking for! And they also sell concert tickets to Cat's Cradle for a few bucks less than they would be at the door. The staff there knows music so talk to them if you're looking for something specific! more

great music selection 4/6/2006

This is the typical grungy CD store that every college town has to have. But the good thing is, it's awesome. They have a great music selection. You can find a lot of rare music that might be hard to get to otherwise. You can also buy concert tickets here for shows at Cat's cradle. more

Music Haven! 8/29/2005

This store has it all- any music you would ever want to find! Their staff is helpful and their prices are not too high. They have new and used CD's, DVD's and other music related items. Also, tickets are available for local concerts. If you like music- you have to check this place out- you will love it! Very original and located downtown Chapel Hill. more

Nice store 8/16/2005

SChoolkids Records is huddled in a narrow store on Franklin street, right next to UNC campus and in a heavily trafficed area. The store specializes in well--specializing, avoiding the "big music store" feel. They're very willing to carry or order more obscure selections, and often will cooperate with WXYC and the Cat's Cradle. Worth a visit! more

neat little record store 8/16/2005

cool shop nestled in on franklin street. one the many fine stores on this street. lots of different stuff to choose from here, and they are a pickup point for concert tickets too. go see a show at cat's cradle and then go to schoolkids to find their albums! they have lots of lesser known stuff here. definitely worth a look. more
