Great Entertainment! 8/23/2010

My friends and I just saw 'Dancing Under The Stars' at the Scera Outdoor Shell. It was an amazing evening! The price was right --- the scenery was amazing --- the consession stand was reasonably priced with good food and treats! And the Dancers (most of them local kids) were better than most professional's we've seen. We had such a great evening! I've never been to a bad performance at the Shell. I'd recommend anyone giving it a try! more

Not Dressed To Impress, but Good Deal 9/13/2005

The seats are pretty torn up and rickety and the floor needs to be refinished at this community owned and operated theatre. However, it is less expensive to see a movie here than at a first-run theatre. In addition to the two movie screens they have for family flicks, they also have some live local productions that they put on at various times throughout the year. If you have some time to kill before your show starts, take a look around in the lobby – it’s a gallery with some interesting local art and other unique things to look at like a huge stained glass globe. more

Cheap Theater 8/18/2005

The Scera theater is a good place to go when you don't want to pay full price for a movie and wait in line. There are however only 2 movie screens and the place is a bit run down. But for the price, you can deal with the atmosphere. They are connected with an outdoor playhouse where you can experience many outdoor plays or movies outdoors on the big screen during the summer. I saw the Scarlet Pimpernel there one year. It's more fun to do the outdoors movies/plays there. more

Huge, Fun Family Theatre 8/16/2005

This is a great place to go see movies with your family. There are only two theatres, but they are really large. There is usually more family oriented movies playing here, they always have the current Disney films. THe tickets are fairly average-priced, maybe a bit cheaper than the bigger theatres. Their concessions are also reasonably priced. Overall, it's a great value and very fun. more

A great place to take the kids. 8/10/2005

The Scera Pool in Orem has so many fun filled activities. The water is great, a perfect temperature almost any time of day. They have lots of fun attractions for the younget kids to play on. They also have big waterslides for the older kids. It gets pretty crowded on the weekends, so try to go on a weekday. more

A nice movie theater to go to 8/2/2005

The Scera is a two screen movie theater attached to a theater playhouse. It has a bit of wear and tear, but the prices are cheaper than the regular first run movie theaters. They are great and only show good decent films. This is the theater I like to go to when I don't want to wait for them to show up at the Dollar Theaters, more

Great family theater 8/2/2005

The scera theater is a fun place to see movies with the entire family. They only show family-friendly movies. Prices are comparable to regular first-run theaters. They have two theaters. Showhouse I has 9-channel Sony SDDS Digital Sound and boasts that it is the Largest Screen in Utah. Showhouse II has a balcony, love seats and Dolby Digital Sound. They have a free art gallery you can browse before or after your movie. They also have a great summer matinee program for kids, with a new movie every week. more
