This is a great, authentic, old-school camera store. Allen's camera offers a wide variety of film, camera and frames with a pretty wide range of prices. But... like so many other places, you get what you pay for. The expensive stuff is great, the cheaper stuff is... cheap.
As for photo work, their lab is really good and they can give you exactly the quality their looking for. For the most part, the staff is both qualified and knowledgeable to help you with your photography needs. They're also friendly and helpful.
And about as expensive as most good quality photo places.

This store manages to fit all your basic (and them some) needs into a very small space. When Petsmart and PetCo wouldn't have it, we go to Animal Ark. They have a good selection of frogs and fish in particular. Prices are often better than the big chain stores. The employees are knowledgable and great with the animals.

Harmon's has some of the best ads and sale prices in the area! Every week, my wife loves to browse the ads to look for items for us to stock up on. They keep things stocked fairly well, and many times if they don't have something in stock, they will substitute something else that is comparable. They have a deli and you can grab a quick bite to eat while you are out shopping. I used to work in the area, and would often stop here for a quick lunch. Their employees are always smiling and willing to help you out!

I went to the school to check out a preschool program for my daughter. I was very impressed. I hope to be able to enroll her this fall. The teachers were great and I got the feeling they love their jobs and care about each child individually. A very different feeling than I get with public school teachers. They have more time to devote to each child and seem interested to get to know the family dynamics as well to teach your child in the best possible way, in the way they learn best. They tailor the teaching to the child.
PROS: A lot more one on one teaching time spent between student and teacher.
CONS: A bit on the expensive side.

My wife and I are very pleased with how Kids Under One Roof have worked with my 4 children over the last couple of years.
My kids are now 4, 6, 9, and 11, and they have all been in one kind of class or another, from child care and preschool, to the after school programs. My kids all read well, they play well with others, the older ones are doing well in school, and they have done very well with violin, piano and taekwondo lessons at Kids Under One Roof.
Pros: Convenient Location, Great Staff, Great Facility

My best friend and I both dream of owning saltwater aquariums someday. We love to go to this store just to look around.
They have a wide variety of saltwater fish and other assorted denizens of the ocean. They have a very beautiful display tank full of corals, clams, and more. They have all sorts of specialties like sharks, sea stars, urchins, and more. I have even seen shark eggs for sale.
I have had saltwater aquariums before, so I am familiar with pricing. Their prices on fish are very reasonable.
They also carry a good selection of the equipment necessary to set up these types of tanks

In Boston, we had our daughter in a program like this. When we moved, we searched for something as interactive, and using a similar format.
She loved the structure (and unstructured play) and had a blast both when she needed parents to help, and when she was old enough to say, "No parents allowed!" Eventually, all three of our ballerinas have enjoyed classes at the Little Gym!
The teachers are great, interested in the kids, and have a great time teaching the kids (and helping the parents teach them, too).
A great way to connect with your young-ones, and let them be the superstar-of-the-day.

Kiddie Kandids will take great pictures and help create lasting memories. Their photographers are experienced in dealing with children and will do everything they can to make sure they capture your child at his or her best. They have a lot of fun backgrounds and props - there is definitely something for everyone! I recommend making an appointment because they do get very crowded and it's no fun sitting around waiting. They are on the pricey side, but you get your pictures before you leave and they are great quality! You can also sign up online for their Birthday Club and get a free 8X10 on your child's birthday. They will also send and e-mail you other coupons from time to time.
