In light of all of the natural disasters lately, Emergency Essentials is a great place to check out! They have everything that you could possibly need to prepare for any type of disaster you might be faced with! They have a wide variety of food storage items and you can purchase a month's supply, an entire year's supply, or just purchase what you need little by little. They have samples and you can taste things before you buy them, which is nice!
They have a number of kitchen items (such as a hand grain mill) as well as water filtration systems. They usually have items out so that you can actually see them and try them out.
They also have 72 hour kits and first aid kits. They offer mini emergency preparedness classes and also have a number of books available for purchase to help you get prepared.

Barry and Madsen Dental is a great Dental Office. They do general dental as well as cosmetic and much more.
They really try hard to make it a fun place. They even do customer appreciation days such as parties at the local roller skating rink. They are great with kids and do whatever they can to make your child feel as comfortable as possible.

I moved to Provo and found we were expecting a child. OB appointments were overcrowded and not personal. Researched and interviewed with the CNMs. My son's birth was beautiful (hypnobirthing)! The CNM oncall stayed with me for the duration of labor and fairly quick delivery. They listened, cared, and supported me. They also have worked with me through a late miscarriage and another birth--with complications (placenta abruptio, cord trouble, posterior, etc.). All went well.
I highly recommend these ladies. I appreciate that there are only three of them to get to know and trust.
Pros: CNM care, pre-marrital exams & counseling, gynecology
Cons: Clinic not open on Fridays

I was impressed with the staff in the L&D ward of Orem Community Hospital when I gave birth earlier this year. My labor nurse was absolutely excellent. She was always available and kept me and the doctor updated on my status. I had a nice big room to myself. The lactation instruction, use of a pump, etc could have been better (maybe they are great under perfect circumstances but mine was not).
Overall, I would recommend Orem Community for those who want a smaller hospital experience.

I was impressed to have this class of an eye center right in Orem Utah.
My visit to the Cataract & Lasik Center of Utah was pleasant. There was very little wait time before I was taken to the examination room, and likewise while I waited for the doctor. The Doctor who attended me was thorough and knowledgeable about her field, and seemed to be very modern and open minded to various types of treatment. They referred me to the U of U for further diagnosis, and went out of their way to not only make the appointment for me, but to make sure I knew how to find the Salt Lake Center.
I fealt very confident about my care while at the lasik center.

We have done business with the North Orem K Mart Pharmacy for many years now. I had a disability for which I had to take many prescription medicines ,for awhile, In the meantime, K Mart Switched their entire pharmacy staff, yet, to this date, they still recognize me and my husband and treat us very well. I can only assume they do that for other customers as well. Not only that, they have very low prices, and if theirs isn't the lowest, THEY WILL MATCH PRICES!

I was given a gift certificate by my school nurse for my son to go see Dr. Codner. I ended up taking not just my son, but my daughter and myself for exams. His office and staff were very competent, and were exceptional with my children, making them feel at ease to the point that they actually enjoyed their exams. They even made it through the bothersome eyedrop part of the exam without any extreme discomfort. They did forget to give my son the protective glasses, but we caught the assistant who was just leaving, who called the doctor who had just left, and he drove back immediately to provide the glasses for my son. Great place to take your kids in need of vision correction
PROS: Excellent Staff
CONS: Not a large enough variety of lower priced frames.

This is a good place to find a reliable eye doctor. It isn't too difficult to get in for an eye exam and the staff is nice. There's even an eyeglasses shop in the building if you need some new frames or lenses and they can help you get the most comfortable fit. I specifically saw Dr. Thaurer here and he was very good.

I really like Salmon Pharmacy. They are very knowledgeable and helpful. They are always quick to fill a prescription and are very easy to work with. They always work with me to bill my insurance. They also specialize in making hard-to-find prescriptions, things you can't just get anywhere. I would recommend them to anyone.
