Ok, my generation probably isn't as enamoured as roller skates as the generations of old but this is still a pretty fun place to go on a date or with a group of friends. The only major downside is the hordes of junior high and high school students who frequent it at times. They have a good variety of music and different "events" in the ring... bring your roller blades or your own pair of skates for a more comfortable fit!

Some years ago when I was first introduced to archery I was told what was best for me without any real reason why. So I bought products that were name brands but just didn't feel quite right. About the time I had spent $1000.00 or more a friend told me abouts Jake's. That when the world of archery was really opened up to me . I was treated like I had been a customer for years and no question was left unanswered. They stayed open for me until I was satisfied with how I was shooting the new bow that they ordered for me and even gave me real help with my shooting form. All was done at no charge and a smile. The guys are on top of the sport and really know the products that they sell. I live 75 miles from their store and make the drive without a thought to say hello and get what I need for my hunt. Thanks for all of the service.

The Orem Public Library is one of my favorite places in Utah County. Most of the staff are very dedicated to the concept of public libraries, and extremely helpful, as well as friendly and knowledgeable. One particular point of excellence is a libraries media collection. I've never seen anything like it in a public library. The checkout fee for DVDs is only one dollar per disc, and helps to support a wonderful collection of foreign films, classic, silents, etc.

If you like to get together with people to play games, but you're tired of playing the same games over and over, this is the place for you. They still carry your trusty favorites, but they have a huge variety of games that you have probably never heard of before and there is something for everyone. I had heard about "murder mystery" parties, but had no idea what they really were or how to have one. You can buy a kit that covers everything here and they have a variety of scenarios to choose from. It's a lot of fun! They also have employees demonstrating different games, so you can try things out and get a feel for them before you buy them.

You can also find used equipment here if you’re looking to start a new sport and don’t want to spend a bunch of money on the gear when you’re just starting out. They also carry new sporting goods in addition to the used items they offer.

If only I had these back in Kentucky. This store has a far better inventory than any other sports store I've ever seen. The prices reflect that, but only a little bit. Staff is knowledgable and helpful, which is a very good combination.

Emergency Essentials is the place to go if you want to be prepared for any disasters you may be faced with! They have a wide variety of food storage items including freeze dry pouches and dried food in cans. You can purchase a month's supply, an entire year's supply, or just purchase what you need little by little. There are food storage containers and water storage. They have a number of kitchen items (such as a hand grain mill) as well as water filtration systems. They usually have items out so that you can actually see them and try them out. They also usually have different types of food items available for sampling. They also have 72 hour kits and first aid kits. They offer mini emergency preparedness classes and also have a number of books available for purchase to help you get prepared.

Miracle Bowl isn't quite as cool as the BYU lanes or Fat Cats but because of that, there are a lot les people and you don't have to wait as long to get a lane. The location on state st. is really convenient and inside it is as clean as a bowling alley ever is (dont get your hopes up). We were able to all find balls that we liked and all the mechanical things seemed to work well for the most part. If you want to get away from the crowds, try going here.

You may have seen this place before as you drive down State Street and notice a man in a red jacket hanging from the sign post. It's a small store with lots of stuff. I went here to find shoes and came out with lots of great stuff at a great deal.
I was amazed by all the things they carry and the impressive selection for a relatively small store. I was able to try on various shoes and harnesses with great service and advice from the staff to make sure I was getting the right stuff for me!
The staff really love climbing and anything that comes with it! They gear swaps every season and fun excursions too. Sign up for the SERAC club emails. They've recently finished building their climbing gym, but I haven't tried it out yet.
